Meetings: 2nd Monday of the Month, 7:30pm - Open Invitation

For nearly every man in WW1 who endured the dangers and hardships of camp, ship and battlefront, there was a woman serving at home to help make possible America's victory---his wife, mother, sister, daughter, or granddaughter. After the war had been won and the men of the armed forces had banded together in ---The American Legion to carry forward their services to the country in peace time, it was only natural the the women of their families should desire to continue to serve with them.  The result was The American Legion Auxiliary, the largest and most influential women's organization of it's kind in the world today. The American Legion Auxiliary is a patriotic women's service organization whose main purpose is "to contribute to the accomplishment of the aims and purposes of The American Legion". The organization sponsors volunteer programs on the national and local levels focusing on three major areas, veterans, young people, and the community. Eligibility includes women veterans themselves, the grandmothers, mothers, wives, sisters, daughters, granddaughters, great granddaughters, or step-children of deceased veterans and/or living American Legion members who served in WW1, WW11, Korea, Vietnam, Panama, Grenada, Lebanon, and /or the Persian Golf.

The Raymond-Hart Post # 84 Auxiliary unit was organized in January 1921.  We have continued in times of peace and times of war to support The American Legion and have broadened our interest to encompass the entire community.  At this time our role is 63 members strong.  We welcome visitors and anyone with an interest to join this worthy service organization to meet with us on the second Monday of each month at 7:30 pm at the American Legion Hall located next to the DK Cafe on Clarke Street.
